  1. Day 1 Arrival

    You will be met at the International Airport of Kilimanjaro by our representative. We will take you to the Blues & Chutney Country B&B. This charming country home is situated in the foothills of Mt. Meru in a lush green surrounding. Our safari manager will come to meet you and to provide you with a safari briefing.

  2. Day 2 Arusha National Park

    After breakfast drive to Arusha National Park, once the site of the action-packed Hollywood movie Hatari, starring John Wayne and Hardy Kruger. You pass by herds of zebra, buffalo, and giraffe on the savannah. Enjoy a picnic lunch at Momella Lake, famous for huge flocks of colorful flamingos and its views at majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro. You continue in the afternoon with a game drive around the different habitats in this truly beautiful national park. There are black and white colobus monkeys (unique to this location northern Tanzania), Sykes and vervet monkeys, shy forest duikers, elusive leopards and substantial herds of antelope.

  3. Day 3 Arusha -Lake Manyara

    Start off your Safari: After breakfast, you’ll drive across the floor of the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park for your first game drive. This beautiful park with its lush vegetation and tropical forests of giant fig and mahogany trees takes its name from the Masai word for “euphorbia tirucalli”, a bush which is used to make a thorny hedge to protect their cattle. Elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebra and a variety of antelope inhabit the park as well as a variety of monkeys and a large population of hippos. If you are lucky you may see the Manyara lions, well known for their tree climbing habits, lazily resting on the branches of an “Acacia tortilis” tree. The birdlife is also abundant, with flamingoes, pelicans, hornbills and plenty of forest species.

  4. Day 4 Lake Manyara - Lake Natron

    In the morning you drive via Engaruka Town towards Lake Natron on a partly bumpy and dusty road. En route, you see many Masai villages, termite mounds, gazelle, giraffe, zebra, baboons, bee boxes, and birds such as vultures, ostrich, starlings, Cory Bustards, and kites. The transfer takes you some 4 hours on a partly dusty and bumpy road. In the afternoon you go on a guided walk around Lake Natron the lowest point of the Great Rift Valley in Tanzania (600m / 2000 ft) and famous for vast numbers of flamingos and other water birds due to a high concentrate of in sodium carbonate, algae, and zooplankton…

  5. Day 5 Lake Natron

    You spend a full day in the surroundings of Lake Natron. You visit a Masai Village and go for a hike up a Ngare Sero River which flows into Lake Natron. In contrast to the surrounding dry landscape, here you can find a small paradise. After a strenuous walk up the stream, we reach the source of the river, in cascading waterfalls the river gushes out of the mountains. It is an excellent swim in the river and under the waterfalls for a nice cool-down from the hot sun. There may be baboons or other wildlife in the gorge.

  6. Day 6 Lake Natron - Serengeti

    After breakfast, you start your way towards Serengeti with some wildlife and many Masai villages to see along the way. You cross Loliondo Area, a concession bordering Serengeti National Park and drive further towards the Western Corridor where the Great Migration is expected to pass through in June/July. After stopping for your picnic lunch on a kopje (rock outcropping) at Serengeti you will continue further into the park and go on a game drive on your way to Ikoma.

  7. Day 7 Serengeti National Park

    A full day of game drives around Serengeti. Depending on the time of year and the migration of the herds you can expect to see wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes and many birds and other species. Your Driver/Guide will be in contact with other safari drivers and will amaze you with his skill at locating the hidden animals.

  8. Day 8 Serengeti - Ngorongoro

    Early morning game drive to see also nocturnal predators returning from hunting and animals waking up in early morning light. After breakfast in the bush, you visit Seronera Visitors Center and proceed with game drives at Serengeti en route to Naabi Hill Gate. Proceed to Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area with arrival later afternoon for some time at leisure at your campsite overlooking Ngorongoro Crater.

  9. Day 9 Ngorongoro Crater

    You spend your day at Ngorongoro Conservation Area home of the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater. It is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest animal populations and one of the few places where the rare black rhino can be observed in its natural habitat.
    There are various options to spend the remainder of the day (at additional cost):
    • Visit of a Masai Village (extra cost of 30 USD per vehicle)
    • Game drive at the Ngorongoro Crater Floor (295 USD Ngorongoro Crater Fee per vehicle)
    • Ranger-guided Nature Walk along the Crater Rim (25 USD per person)

  10. Day 10 Lake Eyasi

    From Ngorongoro, you proceed to Lake Eyasi home to the hunter-gathers ethnic group of the Hadzabe Bushmen bearing similar characteristics to those of Bushmen in Southern Africa. The small people of this indigenous tribe are probably the last living in true harmony with nature and have a wealth of Fauna and Flora knowledge to share with us. The days are filled with tours and walks guided by bushmen taking you on their traditional hunting tracks. You will also pay a visit to the Datoga tribe, an ethnic group of cattle keepers, famous for their colorful leather clothing.

  11. Day 11 Tarangire

    Early morning you go on a game walk guided by the Hadzabe bushmen taking you on their traditional hunting tracks. Afterward, you depart for Tarangire, Tanzania’s third-largest national park and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lion, leopard, cheetah and up to six thousand elephants.

  12. Day 12 Tarangire -Arusha

    You spend your morning still on game drives before you return to Arusha. Your guide will take you to Arusha Airport for your flight to Zanzibar. Transfer to the beach resort of your choice (our suggestion: Bellevue Guesthouse, Casa del Mar or Coral Rock at the beautiful Zanzibar East Coast). Breakfast included.

  13. Day 13 -16 Beach Extension

    Relax and enjoy the beaches of Zanzibar. Breakfast included.

  14. Day 17 Spice Tour

    After breakfast transfer to Stonetown. On the way, we will do the famous Spice Tour. We have developed a special Spice Tour with in-depth information not only about spices but also organically grown herbs and a detailed description of their traditional uses in medicine cosmetics and cooking. After the tour, we invite for an opulent lunch at our guides’ home, where you can taste the spices and fruits. In the afternoon you have some time at leisure.
    Overnight House of Spices (or similar boutique hotel). Breakfast and lunch at the Spice Plantations included.

  15. Day 18 Historical StoneTown

    In the morning we will show you Stone Town on our Historical Stone Town Tour. This tour takes you through fabled StoneTown, where history appears to stand still. With visits to the Anglican Church and the Arab Fort amongst others, it is a fascinating look at the essence of Zanzibar. You will see Zanzibar’s bustling market, winding alleyways, ornately carved and studded doors, two cathedrals and countless mosques!
    The remainder of the day is reserved for own discoveries.

  16. Day 19 Departure

    Transfer to Zanzibar Airport for departure.
